Between Trunk or Treat events and Abby's parties I already have a ton of Halloween candy and its not even Halloween. My friend Nichole gave me this awesome idea!

I have a bucket now that Abby can use to "turn in" her candy to me. I can do whatever I want with the candy and she can't eat what she turns in. When the bucket is full, she gets a toy/prize (with a $$ limit).

Throughout the year, she can turn in candy from the million birthday parties she goes to and other candy holidays (Easter, Christmas, Valentines Day). Full bucket = prize. Which means much less candy for her to snack on and I can give it all away at Halloween next year or donate it before it goes bad (or I eat it all myself! ;-)
